The 2020-2021 basketball roster at the University of Kentucky needs front court help in a big way. And it does not get much bigger than 7-3 transfer center Matt Haarms.
It was announced earlier this week that Haarms had narrowed his choices to three schools: Kentucky, BYU, and Texas Tech. His final decision is supposed to be revealed some time this week, but it appears that the writing may already be on the wall.
Now, several crystal ball predictions on 247 Sports have come in favor of the Wildcats, including one from CatsPause writer Derek Terry.
This is an interesting development on the heels of A Sea of Blue’s own Aaron Gershon indicating his sources were saying last night that Kentucky had landed a big man.
SOURCE: Kentucky has indeed landed a graduate transfer to improve their front court for next season. Should hear more in coming days. #BBN

There was suspicion early this week that Haarms had decided against coming to Kentucky. Many believed his commitment to John Calipari would come over the weekend. And when it did not, there was a feeling that he may be headed elsewhere.
But with these different pieces of information coming from different sources Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, it seems likely that Haarms will be rocking Kentucky blue next season.
