One of the top players in the Class of 2021 is point guard Kennedy Chandler, who also holds a scholarship offer from the Kentucky Wildcats.
Today, UK is having a virtual meeting with Chandler that includes John Calipari, according to Jake Weingarten.
Kentucky’s John Calipari and Tony Barbee will conduct an in-home virtual visit with five-star guard Kennedy Chandler this afternoon, he told @Stockrisers.

Will schedule one with Duke as well. https://t.co/bSV8DmohAc
A 6-1, 160-pound guard out of Memphis (TN), Chandler already has a host of scholarship offers, including the Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, Kansas Jayhawks, Tennessee Volunteers and Memphis Tigers. He’s ranked 10th nationally by Rivals in addition to being the top-ranked point guard.
As far as his recruitment, Chandler’s’ current list of 10 schools includes the above mentioned schools, as well as Michigan, Florida State, USC and Ole Miss. Memphis was initially viewed as the favorite for Chandler, but they appear to be falling behind UK, Duke and even Tennessee. The Blue Devils currently hold two predictions for Chandler in the 247 Sports Crystal Ball, while one Rivals FutureCast prediction is in favor of the Vols.
Chandler is coming off a breakout sophomore season where he led his Briarcrest Christian team to a state championship, winning tournament MVP honors.
What makes this recruitment even bigger for UK is 2021 forward Paolo Banchero said Chandler was someone he’d like to team up with in college. UK is also strongly in the mix for Banchero, if not the favorite, so getting Chandler would only help their case.
