If you were holding out hope that Greg Brown would pick Kentucky, you can probably stop now.

The five-star forward and top-10 recruit will announce his college decision on April 24th, and all the recent buzz has been for the hometown Texas Longhorns.

That includes a prediction today from 247 Sports’ Evan Daniels, who has correctly picked 81/83 recruitments in the 2020 cycle.

Another top recruiting analyst, Rivals’ Eric Bossi, has also logged a prediction in favor of Texas for the 6-9 combo forward. Texas now holds 100% of the 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictions and 89% of the Rivals FutureCast picks.

The Wildcats are still one of Brown’s finalists, but they’ve never been seen as the favorite for the Austin native. The Memphis Tigers were viewed as the leaders going into the fall, but the Longhorns have gotten the most buzz recently and are the clear-cut favorite going into the final weeks of this recruitment.

Of course, recruiting predictions don’t make this a done deal by any stretch. Just yesterday, five-star guard (and former UK recruit) Josh Christopher committed to Arizona State when Michigan was widely viewed as the pick.

Perhaps Brown will surprise everyone with a school other than Texas. Kentucky sure could use someone like him with EJ Montgomery likely off to the NBA.
