WATCH Immanuel Quickley’s message to the BBN

“The greatest fans in the world.”

NCAA Basketball: Lamar at Kentucky Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

Monday morning, Immanuel Quickley announced that he is declaring for the NBA Draft which would bring his college career to an end.

Besides his official statement, Quickley took to Instagram to deliver a personal message to the BBN.

“No one knows what the future would have held due to the unforeseen COVID-19 pandemic, but I believe my teammates and I would have been in the hunt for a national championship. I really believe the only thing that could have stopped us was ourselves.”

“I’m so glad I chose Kentucky. It was one of the best decisions of my life. If I’ve encouraged or positively impacted anyone in any part of the BBN or made Kentucky a better place now than it was before I got there, I have done my job.”

Quickley put together an incredible season averaging 16 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists a game while shooting 41.6% from the field and 42.8% from three on his way to winning SEC Player of the Year.

Not getting to see sophomore Quickley compete in the NCAA Tournament will always have us saying “what if?” but now its time to see him achieve his lifelong goal.

Lets all wish nothing but the absolute best for Quickley and his professional career!
