The Kentucky Wildcats finished the regular season 25-6. But most importantly, they showed that they can win away from home, which is essential come March. With wins at Texas Tech, neutral sight against Michigan State, and in hostile SEC road environments, winning away from home is key.
In fact, this is only the fourth time ever that Kentucky has won on the road against Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Georgia, and LSU. The other three times that happened? 1995-96, 1997-98, and 2011-12. Of course, those three years Kentucky won a title.
This is just the 4th time that Kentucky has won at Memorial Gymnasium, Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Stegeman Coliseum, Stephen C. O'Connell Center, and Thompson-Boling Arena all in the same season. The other 3 occurrences: 1995-1996, 1997-1998, 2011-2012. #WeAreUK #BBN

However, Kentucky did drop two out of three neutral sight games this season, to Ohio State and Utah back in December. But, this is a much-improved Kentucky team that is peaking at the right time, despite some recent drama in the locker-room that appears to be squashed.
If you’re into good omens, this is one to look at closely. I love March.
