The Kentucky Wildcats showed incredible resiliency yesterday in a victory over the Florida Gators, but while yesterday was arguably one of the team’s biggest tests considering the loss on Tuesday, the storylines and chatter going throughout the week, and falling behind by a large margin, this team has fought through adversity all season to put together a very strong regular season campaign.
Kentucky’s loss to Evansville early in the season could’ve totally derailed this season. It would've been easy for the team to completely lose confidence and/or begin pointing fingers, but the Cats battled back.
Then there were back-to-back losses in Vegas including a bad loss to Utah. Another situation that could’ve easily derailed this season, but they battled back and took down Louisville in the next game.
After losing at Auburn in a weird game that ended up as a free throw contest, Kentucky rattled off eight straight wins including the rematch against Auburn in Lexington.
This team has been resilient all season, and has made them a fun team to watch as they’ve grown and continue to show a will to win. This Kentucky team may not be the favorite going into the NCAA Tournament this year, but teams sure do not want to see them in their bracket.
