The BBN still believes Kentucky deserves a 2 seed

Even with the loss to Tennessee, the BBN is confident in their team.

Despite a brutal home loss to the Tennessee Volunteers Tuesday, Kentucky Wildcats fans are feeling just fine about their team.

In the latest SB Nation fan pulse survey, 100% of Kentucky voters said they felt confident in the direction of their team.

The loss to Tennessee also did not make Kentucky fans change their minds about their NCAA Tournament seeding. Nearly 90% of voters feel that the Cats should still be a 2 seed in this month’s big dance.

The second question asked to Kentucky fans is our far they feel their team will go in the tournament. To no surprise, the BBN has high expectations with most predicting a trip to the Final Four, and over 40% predicting the Cats bring home their ninth national championship.

Finally the entire nation was asked who they feel is the coach of the year. Naismith Coach of the Year.

Here’s how the voting broke down.

  2. Other: 18% 210 Votes
  3. Scott Drew, Baylor Bears (26-3, 15-2): 17%, 198 Votes
  4. Brian Dutcher, San Diego State Aztecs (28-1, 17-1): 15%, 181 Votes
  5. Leonard Hamilton, Florida State Seminoles (25-5, 15-4): 13%, 156 votes
  6. Tony Bennett, Virginia Cavaliers (22-7, 14-5): 4%, 50 Votes
  7. Brad Underwood, Illinois Fighting Illini (20-9, 12-6): 4%, 48 Votes
  8. Mark Turgeon, Maryland Teripins (23-7, 13-6): 3%, 39 Votes
  9. Greg McDermott, Creighton Blue Jays: 3% 32 Votes
  10. Bill Self, Kansas Jayhawks: 2%, 29 Votes
