With spring practices under way throughout the country, projections for the 2020 college football season are already being made.
Among those to make early predictions was Brad Crawford of 247sports as he released projections on how many games each SEC team will win in conference play.
Crawford, made it clear he thinks highly of the Kentucky Wildcats as he picked the team to win four games which would be a one game improvement from a 2019 season that saw UK go 3-5 in the SEC.
When explaining his Kentucky projection Crawford wrote “Given what Mark Stoops has been able to the past two seasons with consecutive bowl wins and a Top 15 finish, buying some stock in Kentucky as a darkhorse in the SEC East is never a bad idea.”
Unlike some national media members, Crawford has watched closely as Kentucky has quietly trended towards the top of the SEC the last two seasons.
Here’s Crawford’s projections for all seven SEC East programs.
- Georgia Bulldogs: 7
- Florida Gators: 6
- Kentucky Wildcats: 4
- Tennessee Volunteers: 4
- South Carolina Gamecocks: 3
- Missouri Tigers: 2
- Vanderbilt Commodores: 0
