Four-star center Cliff Omoruyi has cut the Kentucky Wildcats from his final list of schools, which is bad news for the Wildcats.
Omoruyi is now to Arizona State, Auburn, and hometown Rutgers as his final three choices.
Kentucky is hoping to add one more piece to their recruiting class for next season, and it is almost certainly going to be a front-court option, and Cliff Omoruyi was seen as one of those options, however, it seemed like the coaching staff was never really sold on wanting him to come here, despite Omoruyi calling Kentucky his ‘dream school’ back in the summer.
Kentucky will almost certainly need an extra big man for next season, as they lose Nate Sestina, and more than likely lose Nick Richards and EJ Montgomery. That leaves the Wildcats with just two big men for next season, both freshman, in Isaiah Jackson and Lance Ware.
Kentucky is still in the running for top-10 prospect Greg Brown, although his commitment to Lexington seems unlikely. Then, Kentucky and Calipari will probably go the grad-transfer route for the third straight season in hopes of landing another key player.
