When Kentucky Wildcats guard Johnny Juzang announced he was transferring, the belief was he wanted to be closer to his California home.
On Tuesday, Juzang released his list of six schools in consideration, and oddly enough, it included several schools that wouldn’t really be any closer than Lexington.

Oregon, Arizona and UCLA would be significantly closer to home, but Notre Dame and Villanova would be a similar distance as Lexington. Texas Tech would be closer, but not as much as you would think Juzang and his family are looking for.
Jake Weingarten of Stock Risers did add that the west-coast teams have a better shot at Juzang.
Kentucky transfer Johnny Juzang is down to six finalists: UCLA, Arizona, Oregon, Texas Tech, Villanova and Notre Dame.

I’ve been told the West Coast teams have the best shot here, that’s obvious but don’t count out the others.
One school that was expected to be in the mix was USC, but for whatever reason, the Trojans did not even make the first cut.
Just as a side note, the USC staff was a factor in his decision to transfer

The fact that they didn’t even make the list is shocking
Something must have happened (plus Nova and Notre Dane arent really on West Coast)
Either way, lots of luck to the kid. He is a good guy https://t.co/F3m36MsIOO
Whatever happens, here’s to hoping Juzang finds the happiness he’s looking for in his next destination, wherever that may be.
