The Kentucky Wildcats have brought their football program back from the dead over the last few seasons. Their newfound success has opened the door for the team to start securing highly-touted recruits.
In the mix for a top four-star recruit in the state of Kentucky and the No. 47 receiver in the nation, the Wildcats now have a decision date for Dekel Crowdus. He will be letting the world his collegiate destination on May 10.
Crowdus released his declaration on Twitter and noted his top-10 schools, many of which are among the nation’s most elite programs.

From Frederick Douglass high school, Crowdus is a Lexington-native which should give the Wildcats a leg up when recruiting. That said, 247 Sports doesn’t have a crystal ball prediction quite yet for the stud wide out, but Rivals FutureCast has one prediction for the Wildcats.
Crowdus’ top 10 schools are Kentucky, Ohio State, Louisville, Baylor, Ole Miss, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Texas.
With Ohio state leading as the top program of the bunch, the Wildcats should have a strong pull given their recent success so do not count them out just by seeing that he is intrigued by OSU.
Declaring his college program on his birthday, Crowdus didn’t pick the best time to set his date as the country is seemingly stopping most activities, especially recruiting for high school prospects.
Crowdus cannot visit anywhere for the next month as the NCAA has declared a dead period, so being from Lexington, he’ll have a much better feel for Kentucky than likely all of his other contenders. Perhaps another sign that the Wildcats are in a good spot for the talented receiver.
