Kentucky vs. Tennessee game thread and pregame reading

The Kentucky Wildcats are back in action this afternoon as they take on the Tennessee Volunteers on the road in Knoxville. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm EST, and you can watch it on CBS and online via CBS Sports.

It was a good outing for the Cats in their last game against Mississippi State. Nick Richards played like he’s capable of playing, as he went for an impressive 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Although, the main story of that game was EJ Montgomery. He scored 12 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and notched 3 steals. It was a huge game for him that is sure to grow his confidence.

Tennessee has had a bit of a rough season ever since their main playmaker Lamonte Turner suffered a shoulder injury. However, they’ve managed to put together some pretty solid wins and have competed closely in most of their games.

It’s going to be a good test for the Cats, as they are 3-6 in Knoxville since Calipari took over as coach.
