The Kentucky Wildcats are looking to cap off an undefeated week in the SEC after defeating Mississippi State at home Tuesday night. To do so, they’ll have to win in a place that’s been their house of horrors the last two seasons.
Saturday, Kentucky will travel south to take on the Tennessee Volunteers and seek their first win on rocky top since 2015.
Tennessee has won each of the last three meetings between the two teams’ in Knoxville, including a 71-52 victory in 2019.
Overall, Kentucky is just 2-4 in their last six games against Tennessee as they have met twice in the regular season and in the SEC Tournament each of the past two seasons.
This season, Tennessee isn’t quite as strong as the last two seasons as Grant Williams, Admiral Schofield and Jordan Bone all went pro while Lamonte Turner suffered a season ending injury.
Regardless, the Vols will have home court and are on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament, making this a dangerous game for Kentucky.
Will the Wildcats end their woes on Rocky Top, or will Tennessee again top the Cats?
