The Kentucky Wildcats have won their 49th SEC regular season championship after defeating the Auburn Tigers 73-66 to clinch the title.
Back on November 12th, the Cats lost at home to Evansville in a game that I am sure the fanbase wants to forget about.
In the postgame press conference, Kyle Tucker brought up the Evansville loss, and that sent Cal on a rant about that game.
“Evansville, Evansville, Evansville… Did we play anyone else?”
Calipari would go on to note that EJ Montgomery was out for that game and that Nick Richards and Ashton Hagans both had the flu in the matchup.
Tucker took to Twitter to clarify that he was trying to ask what this championship meant after the struggles to start the season, but Cal never let him finish asking it.
