The Kentucky Wildcats have had four players emerge as consistent contributors every night they take the floor in Immanuel Quickley, Nick Richards, Tyrese Maxey, and Ashton Hagans.
Out of those four, it looks like it could come down to Richards and Quickley for who wins SEC Player of the Year.
However, neither of them made the updated top 30 NBA Draft prospects put out by 247 Sports’ Evan Daniels and Josh Gershon.
The #1 and #2 prospects remained the same with Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman holding those positions.
The rest of the board had a lot of movement.
Maxey is currently averaging 13.9 points and 3.1 assists per game. He was the first Kentucky player listed in the first round and is projected as the #17 overall pick.
Daniels and Gershon aren’t as high on Maxey as ESPN who has Maxey as the #7 overall prospect in the draft.
Hagans was the only other Kentucky player to make the list coming in at #30. He is averaging 11.8 points, 6.5 assists, and 2 steals per game.
I was surprised that Richards didn’t make the cut seeing his outstanding junior season where he is averaging 14.3 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks while shooting 65.6% from the field and could also be SEC POY.
