NC State obliterates Duke

The Wolfpack feasted on the hapless Blue Devils.

It’s been a wild and upset-filled college hoops season. One of the wilder upsets just happened in Raleigh, as the NC State Wolfpack took down No. 6 Duke.

It wasn’t so much that NC State won that made this a shocking result. After all, winning on the road in conference play is hard in any league, let alone in an ACC that usually produces 7-8 NCAA Tournament teams.

The real shocker was how badly 16-9 NC State whipped the 22-3 Blue Devils, who looked like they were no match for the Wolfpack en route to an 88-66 defeat that is only Duke’s fourth loss of the season.

It’s been a very race occurrence for Coach K team to get obliterated by anyone. The last time Duke lost by 20+ points was in March of 2013 to the Louisville Cardinals in an NCAA Tournament game that has now been vacated.

This season really is something else, and tonight, it was something really awesome.
