The SEC regular season title may be on the line this week for the Kentucky Wildcats.
Kentucky leads the league by one game but will play two likely NCAA Tournament teams this week. On Tuesday, they’ll travel to Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers, and Saturday, they’ll play host to the Florida Gators.
Tuesday will mark the only scheduled matchup between LSU and UK this season. Last season, the Tigers infamously defeated the Cats at Rupp Arena after Kavell Bigby-Williams scored a buzzer-beating tip in to seal the victory.
This year, LSU currently is 9-3 in conference play with their losses coming to Vanderbilt, Auburn and Alabama.
Winning in Baton Rouge will be no easy task for the Cats, as LSU is 13-1 at home this season with their lone loss coming to East Tennessee State. .
As for Florida, the Cats and Gators will square off for the first of two meetings this season. Last year, the Wildcats swept the two game series between the two teams
A sweep of these two games can move UK much closer to locking up the SEC regular season title. Can they get the job done? Let us know your predictions in the poll below.
