The Kentucky Wildcats end the season on a high note and send an impactful senior class out in style with a dominating win over South Carolina on senior night.
Kentucky controlled the game from the start and seemed to just be getting whatever they wanted at-will over a dreadful, barely functioning South Carolina Gamecocks team.
Terry Wilson ends his college career at Kentucky beating the likes Florida, Tennessee, Louisville, Penn State, led the Wildcats to a top-ten ranking, and even played for a trip to the SEC Championship game against Georgia in 2018.
This senior class was a big one for Mark Stoops and is a huge reason for Kentucky football garnering respect throughout the SEC.
It is a bittersweet end, as the regular season itself didn’t pan out to be what fans were hoping. But in a normal season, this team would have been very good, and they still have a potential bowl game left.
Here what Twitter had to say about the senior night win:
To the 19 seniors we are recognizing today, THANK YOU! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this program. Thank you for your blue collar work ethic and strength through this very difficult year. I’m so proud of you! pic.twitter.com/1rnkAamYkm

Chris Rodriguez is special
Hope he comes back
Good things happen when Chris Rodriguez gets the football.

Even in this blowout, it remains painfully obvious Kentucky needs a real special teams coordinator more than anything.

The Cats are on pace to have their biggest blowout win vs. an FBS team since Louisville in 2019, which was their biggest blowout win vs. an FBS team since Louisville in 2018.

This is not a fair fight. South Carolina is a disaster.

Even in what appeared to be a fun, easy game, Kentucky can’t escape itself in the second half.

Almost nothing is certain about UK's offense moving forward right now, but Chris Rodriguez and Keaton Upshaw should be two excellent pieces to build around (assuming Rodriguez doesn't declare for draft).
— Jon Hale (@JonHale_CJ) December 6, 2020
If UK had Terry Wilson, Lynn Bowden, or a not injured Sawyer Smith in this game last year they'd be closing in on seven in a row

Final Score:

Kentucky 41
South Carolina 18
Mark Stoops’ Wildcats finish regular season with 4-6 record. Post season bowl action yet to be determined. Basketball Cats take on the Ramblin’ Wreck of Georgia Tech in Atlanta tomorrow (Sunday) 5 pm on ESPN. UK is a 6.5-pts favorite.
Final: Kentucky 41, South Carolina 18. With 48 career wins, Mark Stoops (48-50) moves past Fran Curci (47-51-2) for No. 2 all-time on the UK coaching career wins list. Stoops needs 13 more victories to pass Bear Bryant (60-23-5) as Kentucky's all-time wins leader

Big salute to Terry Wilson

Gave Kentucky 3 of my favorite 10 UK Football wins of my life
Will always be a big fan of Terry Touchdown
FYI: UK did not include S Davonte Robinson among seniors recognized today. That seems to be a pretty good indication he's coming back for another year.

Terry Wilson beat Florida, Tennessee, Louisville, Penn State, Quarterbacked Kentucky to a top-10 ranking, and played against Georgia for a trip to the SEC Title game on his career
