If you watched yesterday’s Kentucky Wildcats vs. North Carolina Tar Heels clash, some of you might have noticed Cam’Ron Fletcher getting emotional on the bench as Kentucky slowly, but surely, blew a lead in the second half.

Fletcher was seen crying on the bench, and as John Calipari explained after the game, Fletcher was upset with his lack of playing time against the Tar Heels.

Calipari said that Fletcher apologized to his teammates after the game was over, and today, Fletcher issued an apology to the Big Blue Nation:

Fletcher said that he let his emotions get the best of him and that it pains him to see this team struggle as much as they are. Fletcher also said that he feels he can always help the team in any way, but that there was no excuse for his behavior yesterday. Fletcher added that he is fully committed to the Kentucky program.

Even thought Fletcher did not need to issue an apology to fans, he felt compelled to and did so, which is a classy move from Fletcher. Whatever turmoil we thought might be there as the wheels fell off against North Carolina, hopefully this puts some of that to rest.

Fletcher then asked the BBN to stick by them, as they will soon get the season right.
