John Wall is finally leaving the Washington Wizards.
Late Wednesday night, Woj dropped a bomb that Washington was trading Wall and a first-round pick to the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook.

Wall hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since the 2018-19 season after suffering multiple major leg injuries, including a ruptured left Achilles tendon. There was talk he might return this summer when the NBA restart in Orlando began, but Washington opted to hold him out.
Now, Wall will play in a different NBA city for the first time since being the No. 1 overall pick of the Wizards in the 2010 NBA Draft, which came after a standout season with the Kentucky Wildcats.
Wall will actually be reunited with a Kentucky teammate, as DeMarcus Cousins signed with Houston this offseason. Seeing Wall and Boogie on the same court will be a great sight to see for Big Blue Nation.
Here’s a look at Wall taking part in some hoops this offseason.
