So far, Kentucky’s basketball schedule had been mostly spared by scheduling changes due to COVID-19.
That changed yesterday when the CBS Sports Classic did a flip with games and switched Kentucky’s next matchup from UCLA to North Carolina.
Kentucky was scheduled to face off against the Bruins but due to aligning COVID-19 testing protocols, the switch was made.
Now the Wildcats will face off against a top 25 North Carolina team that comes in at 4-2 with losses to Iowa and Texas.
It’ll be tough to adjust mid-week for the Wildcats to begin game planning for the Tarheels, but a win on Saturday is desperately needed and would be a great injection of momentum into the basketball program.
Go Cats. Beat the Heels.
