4-star WR Christian Lewis announces plans to sign with Wildcats

Kentucky will lock up one of their highest ranked recruits for next season.

Kentucky Wildcats football commit Christian Lewis plans to sign with the Wildcats on signing day in one week, according to his Twitter account.

Normally, we would expect the Cats to keep their recruits committed and signed with no worry of decommitment. But with their less-than-stellar passing game the past two seasons, one of which was due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, it was no guarantee that Kentucky would land ANY receiver.

Lewis is a four-star wide receiver out of Alabama who chose the Wildcats over other offers such as Tennessee, Louisville, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and more.

Lewis has seen a rise in the rankings since his commitment to Kentucky back in June, jumping up to the 10th ranked player in the state of Alabama. Lewis can be an immediate impact player next season, along with fellow wide receiver commit and Lexington native, Dekel Crowdus.

Locking up Lewis is a huge get for Mark Stoops and the eventual new offensive coordinator.
