Kentucky vs. Kansas: Who wins?

The Bluegrass Showcase showed us why these Kentucky Wildcats have potential but are far away from reaching it.

The length and athleticism is unprecedented, and it may be the most impressive we’ve seen under John Calipari.

But the shooting and offensive flow looked horrible against a solid Richmond team. Missing 13 free throws and shooting 36% from the field will lose you most games, even if you do out-rebound a team by 20+.

Now, an even bigger challenge in an even bigger national setting is up next: Kansas. The Jayhawks will be ready to redeem themselves after opening their season to a 102-90 loss against No. 1 Gonzaga.

In what looked to be a challenging stretch ahead for Calipari’s Cats may turn out to be a tad underwhelming, which makes this game against Kansas that much more important.

With UCLA losing to San Diego State by 15 and Georgia Tech losing back-to-back games against Georgia State and Mercer, it looks like the next biggest challenge the Cats will face will be Louisville the day after Christmas.
