The Kentucky Wildcats had a week off from game preparation and Mark Stoops gave the team the weekend off to recalibrate. Obviously there is a lot of soul searching going on as the Cats sit at 2-4 on the shortened SEC only season.
While the Wildcats have been excellent defensively, the offense has set college football back decades. I’m not sure if there is one source to blame. Honestly I think it’s a combination of philosophy and personnel. Whatever the root cause, UK cannot win football games with the offense they’ve been playing.
They will take on the dreadful Vanderbilt Commodores one week from today and hopefully there will be some answers on the offensive side of the ball. If not, the looming Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators could set up for long Saturdays.
