Does Devin Booker want out of Phoenix?

There have been rumors that Booker is ready to move on.

The Phoenix Suns went 8-0 in the NBA bubble in Orlando and very narrowly missed the playoffs. Devin Booker was nearly unstoppable during that stretch, and he has established himself as an elite scorer in the NBA. But how long will he be playing his home games in Phoenix?

Booker signed a contract extension in Phoenix two years ago and is locked in through the 2023-2024 season. But according to Ryen Russillo of The Ringer, Booker has been very clear about his desire to get out of Arizona.

“The worst kept secret in the league is Booker really wants out of there,” Russillo said on Bill Simmons’ recent podcast. “And if it’s another bad season I actually think that could get ugly.”

Booker would hardly be the first star to force his team to trade him before fulfilling a contract. And, honestly, the sooner they choose to deal him the more the Suns would get in return. Some have speculated that Booker would value playing in a larger market like Los Angeles or New York, but of course he would love the chance to compete for championships.

Booker has averaged 22.5 points in his young career, putting up 26.6 points per game the last two seasons. He has shot over 35% from three and made over 87% of his free throws. And despite being impossible to stop when he has the ball in his hands, Booker is only 24 years old.

Where would you like to see Devin Booker end up if his time in Phoenix comes to an end sooner rather than later?
