It would appear we finally have a location set for the Kentucky Wildcats’ Champions Classic matchup with the Kansas Jayhawks.
According to CBS reporter Jon Rothstein, Indianpolis will host Kentucky vs. Kansas this year. Rothstein is also reporting the SEC will release its 2020-21 men’s basketball schedule on Friday.
Sources: The game between Kentucky and Kansas as part of the Champions Classic is expected to be held in Indianapolis on December 1st. The location of the game between Duke and Michigan State is currently TBD.

On Wednesday, John Calipari said Kentucky’s non-conference schedule is finalized. If the SEC releases its schedule, that means we could see the full 2020-21 Kentucky basketball schedule on Friday. The league will once again have an 18-game schedule this season, despite offseason chatter that it could move to 20+ games.
As for the Champions Classic, it appeared the game was trending toward being held in Lawrence due to the coronavirus cancelling the event in Orlando. But this has always been a neutral-court event, so it’s good to see that it will once again be held somewhere neutral. It’s still unclear where the Champions Classic clash between Michigan State and Duke will be held.
