It’s the final game in the Bluegrass Showcase, and it should be a good one. The Kentucky Wildcats are taking on the Richmond Spiders, which begins a tough non-conference journey for the Cats.
We saw the top recruits show out in the first game against Morehead State. Brandon Boston Jr. led all scorers with 15 points, followed by fellow freshman stars Terrence Clarke and Devin Askew.
This team is extremely deep, as Cal decided to throw 10 guys in the rotation on Wednesday. It’s important to note that Keion Brooks Jr. was out as well. His status for this game is unclear, and that’s also true of the Tuesday showdown with the Kansas Jayhawks.
As for Richmond, they’re looking to prove they’re no team to be messed with. They defeated Morehead State on Friday in convincing fashion as well, 82-64.
The Spiders would have more than likely made the NCAA Tournament last year with a record of 24-7. They are also picked to win the A-10 this season.
We will know a lot more about this team after this 6-game stretch which includes Richmond, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, UCLA, and closing with Louisville.
However, it starts with taking care of business against Richmond. Who do you think picks up the victory in this game?
