The Kentucky Wildcats are getting set to tip off their 2020-21 college basketball season on Wednesday night when they face the Morehead State Eagles.

Heading into the season, all of BBN knows that this Kentucky team has the potential to be a Final Four team and contend for the NCAA National Championship.

Kentucky fans aren’t the only ones that are high on this team, as Jay Bilas dropped his annual college basketball preview on ESPN and he is high on this Kentucky team.

Bilas listed his top favorites that can win the national title and Kentucky is included in the list of nine after bringing in the No. 1 overall recruiting class.

“Damn, the Wildcats have some talented young players,” Bilas wrote. “Ridiculous. B.J. Boston, Terrence Clarke, Devin Askew and Isaiah Jackson can turn Kentucky into a title contender by the end of the season.”

The other teams on the list include the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Baylor Bears, Villanova Wildcats, Duke Blue Devils, Iowa Hawkeyes, Virginia Cavaliers, Wisconsin Badgers, and the North Carolina Tar Heels.

As for individual awards and honors, Bilas listed Boston, Clarke, and Askew as impact Freshmen and tabbed Boston to his Preseason All-American honorable mention list. He also listed Olivier Sarr as one of the most underrated and under-appreciated players in the country.
