There isn’t a better coach than John Calipari when it comes to taking young men and turning them into mature leaders on the basketball court. The Kentucky Wildcats head coach will once again tackle that challenge, but this time it should be a bit easier.
Kentucky lost nearly all of their pieces from last year’s team, with just Keion Brooks remaining. Surrounding Brooks in the front court will be fellow big men Cam’Ron Fletcher, Isaiah Jackson and Lance Ware.
All are incredibly talented, which many of us saw when Jackson dunked from the free throw line just s a few nights ago. Fletcher and Ware also bring specific talents/needs to the table and all three can be vital to Kentucky having a great season.
From Jackson leaping around the paint, Fletcher being an intense grinder and Ware attacking the rim, Kentucky clearly has a load of talent in their front court. With just as much in their back court, life may be just a bit easier on Calipari than past seasons.
Coming in as the 10th-ranked team to start the year, Kentucky will tip off 2020-2021 on Wednesday night against Morehead State at Rupp Arena. The game is set for 6 PM EDT and will be aired on SEC Network.
