Kentucky basketball has become a popular destination for big-time transfers in recent years, the latest being Olivier Sarr.
Widely regarded as the top transfer of the 2020 offseason, Sarr committed to Kentucky in May following a productive three-year career at Wake Forest. He’s coming off a breakout 2019-20 season where he averaged 13.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. He shot 52.7% from the floor, made the All-ACC Third Team, was a two-time ACC Player of the Week, and was the runner-up for the 2020 ACC Most Improved Player award.
So yeah, getting Sarr was a pretty big deal for Kentucky, and fellow Wildcat Brandon Boston agrees. Kentucky’s highest-ranked recruit since 2015, Boston spoke about Sarr’s impact during Thursday’s UK Pro Day, and it’s exactly what the Big Blue Nation loves to hear.
B.J. Boston to SEC Network on Olivier Sarr: "Just makes the game easier. He has a high IQ, high motor, loves to play winning basketball and just plays his ass off every play."

Everything Boston said of Sarr was on display tonight, as the old man of this bunch was arguably the best player on the floor and looked every bit like the all-conference performer he’s expected to be this season.
Sarr moved very well up and down the floor despite having a 7-foot, 240-pound frame. He also shot surprisingly well from three-point range while being very efficient in the paint and a beast on the boards.
Olivier Sarr just blew me away in Kentucky's 5-minute shooting from the 3-pt line.

Hit at least 10+ in a row at one point.
Was 1-7 from 3 for WFU last season. Safe to say that will change this year.
If tonight is any indicator, Sarr is going to have a big season for the Wildcats, which hopefully helps him realize his NBA dreams next year.
