With the college basketball season right around the corner, and UK putting on their annual NBA Pro Day tonight, we are now getting a glimpse of what the Kentucky Wildcats will be putting on the court for the 2020-21 season.
SEC Network analysts Tom Hart shared his thoughts on the upcoming edition of the Kentucky basketball team, which featured glowing reviews for the incoming freshman class.
“Only halfway through Kentucky practice film, but a couple early observations, in no particular order:
“I couldn’t take my eyes off Brandon Boston. Then I realized it’s because he’s always near the ball, on both sides of the court. It’s easy to see why he’s so highly regarded. Seven footer Olivier Sarr absolutely glides down the court. Like Boston, he can be an impact player on both ends. Dontaie Allen can flat stroke it. He’s putting it up with confidence. I won’t go over the entire roster, but Isaiah Jackson stood out as a dude who is always making plays. High motor doesn’t begin to describe it.”
Fellow ESPN analyst Jimmy Dykes also viewed a recent practice and had great reviews of the Wildcats. Both praised incoming freshman forward Isaiah Jackson, who was expected to be a multi-year role player. Now it looks like he could become a major impact player good enough to become a 2021 NBA Draft pick.
The No. 10 ranked Kentucky squad is hosting their NBA Pro Day tonight in front of all 30 NBA teams at 7 p.m., and they will kick off their season against Morehead State on Nov. 25 in Rupp Arena.
