There have been some great players and leaders to come through the Kentucky Wildcats basketball program since John Calipari arrived. But there have also been some solid recruiters that have taken it upon themselves to lure other stars to Lexington.
From the looks of it, Kentucky’s top 2022 commit, Skyy Clark, has already set out on the recruiting trail.
According to an interview with Sports Illustrated, Clark has a list of players he is focused on recruiting and continues to grow that list as time goes on. For now, he is focused on top five center Jalen Duran, top five guard Amari Bailey, and top 50 forward Tre White.
“Those are the main three right now,” Clark told Sports Illustrated. “But I’ve gotta do more research on who else. But I’m on it now. I’m all in.”
Clark was a rumored Kentucky lean long before he committed, and he continues to reaffirm the reasons that led to him committing to play for the Wildcats.
“Kentucky is the best of the best in every way,” Clark said. “I feel like I’ll get better every day because I’ll have Coach Cal, and I’ll be training against the best players too.”
Clark really seems to get what the Kentucky program is all about, and he may be just the guy to help lead a super-class in 2022. Most of the top players for that class are still out there, so there is a lot of opportunity to bring in the best players from around the country.
