Five-star 2021 shooting guard Bryce McGowens decommitted from the Florida State Seminoles today and will be reopening his recruitment, according to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.

A 6-4, 175-pound shooting guard out of Greenville (SC), McGowens committed back in February of this year, but following his decommitment from the Seminoles, the Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff has reached out to McGowens, along with Georgia, Arizona, Virginia Tech, Nebraska and many more.

McGowens’ brother, Trey, transferred from Pittsburgh to Nebraska last spring and will suit up for the Cornhuskers this season, so you would think they’ll be strongly in the mix for Bryce.

While that is the only tidbit of news that has surfaced from Kentucky’s involvement with McGowens, you have to think the Wildcats coaching staff would like to pair McGowens with 2021 point guard Hunter Sallis.

Florida State remains in the mix to keep McGowens, but with a host of other schools now courting the talented 2021 guard. Check out some highlights of him in action:
