BJ Boston is coming into the 2020-21 season with an exponential amount of hype surrounding him. Boston was the first player to commit to the Kentucky Wildcats in the class of 2020, and finished his high school year ranked as the No. 5 overall player in the country and won National Player of the Year.
And now to start his young collegiate career, and only year more than likely, Boston is making pre-season All-American lists.
Boston was tabbed as a Third-Team Pre-Season All-American by both CBS Sports and Jeff Goodman of Stadium. Boston was one of only two freshman to make Goodman’s list of pre-season All-Americans, along with Oklahoma State freshman, Cade Cunningham. Boston was also one of three freshman to make CBS’ list of pre-season All-Americans, along with Cunningham and USC freshman forward Evan Mobley.
Boston’s freshman running mate Terrence Clarke received no love from pre-season lists, but don’t be shocked if he makes his way on there by the end of the year. Boston and Clark will be the next duo of high-scoring Kentucky teammates rivaling De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk and Tyler Ulis and Jamal Murray.
