Kentucky reaches out to Omaha Biliew

This kid looks like a star on the rise.

Over the last week, Kentucky has received commitments from recruits in the class of 2021 (Bryce Hopkins) and 2022 (Skyy Clark). But trying to stay ahead of the curve, John Calipari and his staff are also hot on the trail of the best players in the 2023 class. One of those stars is Omaha Biliew, and Kentucky has recently reached out to begin his recruitment.

According to Travis Graf of Cats Illustrated, Kentucky has officially made contact with Biliew, one of the top big men in the 2023 class. John Calipari only has one offer out for the 2023 class, and that is Bronny James. You may or may not have heard of his father, LeBron.

Biliew is the No. 3 overall player in the 2023 class, according to the 247 Sports Composite. While playing his high school basketball in Iowa, he has received offers from Georgia, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa Nebraska, and Western Kentucky University. It is unclear if an offer is imminent from Kentucky, but being one of the first players from your class to be contacted is obviously a good sign.

Biliew still has some time to grow, even at 6-8 and 200 pounds. He could end up being a monster before he goes to college. This is a great opportunity for Kentucky to capitalize early on a good player who has the potential to be great, a la Anthony Davis.
