Bryce Hopkins becomes the second commitment for the Kentucky Wildcats for the class of 2021, and he’s the second pledge in less than a week to pledge his future services to the Wildcats, following 2022 guard Skyy Clark’s announcement last week.
Hopkins, a former Louisville Cardinals commit, is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 30 overall prospect in the nation by 247 Sports.
Hopkins chose the Wildcats over the likes of home-state Illinois, Texas, Michigan, Iowa State, Indiana, California, Providence and Oregon.
Hopkins has been compared to former Iowa State star Georges Niang, who had a fantastic collegiate career for the Cyclones.
Here’s how the BBN reacted to Hopkins’ commitment:
Hopkins gets the PJ Washington comparison from the Kentucky staff. PJ turned out to be a decent player.
