Jamarius Dinkins commits to Kentucky

LATE-NIGHT YAHTZEE!

Jamarius Dinkins

Recruiting never sleeps, and neither do the big-time programs in college football.

Mark Stoops and his staff hope to establish a big-time program in Lexington, and a big part of that has been their recruiting in the Buckeye State. The latest pledge from Ohio comes in the form of Jamarius Dinkins, who made a late-night Thursday commitment to the Wildcats.

Dinkins, a three-star defensive end from Walnut Ridge High School in Ohio, commits to Kentucky while holding offers from Michigan State, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Iowa State and Virginia among others.

The 6-6, 255-pound Dinkins is now Kentucky’s top-ranked defensive lineman in the 2021 class, per 247 Sports. He’s ranked 649th nationally, 43rd among strongside defensive ends, and 24th among Ohio recruits via 247 Sports Composite.

Dinkins becomes the 17th pledge for the Wildcats in 2020, joining the likes of Jager Burton, Dekel Crowdus, Christian Lewis, Armond Scott, Chauncey Magwood, Martez Thrower, Jordan Lovett, David Wohlabaugh, Paul Rodriguez, La’Vell Wright, Adrian Huey, Kaiya Sheron, Kahlil Saunders, Joko Willis, Maxwell Hairston and Wilson Berry.
