The Kentucky Wildcats have only offered three scholarships for the 2022 class, but the recruitment is picking up for several more rising juniors. The newest prospect to hear from Kentucky is shooting guard Isaac McKneely.
McNeely is a West Virginia native, and he is close to cracking the top 50 in all recruiting services. The 6-4 guard has offers from West Virginia, Virginia, Indiana, Kansas State, Xavier, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Louisville among others. And while Kentucky has not officially offered a scholarship, Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.com reports they have recently reached out to McNeely.
Kentucky and North Carolina are the newest programs to enter the mix for Top-50 junior Isaac McKneely, he told @Stockrisers.

He’s been in contact with assistants from both programs.

I do not want to pigeon hole players, but there was a 6-5 guard out of Wisconsin recently that seems pretty happy about his decision to choose Kentucky. That guy is Tyler Herro, and we could not get a comment from him because he is busy preparing for the NBA Finals in his rookie season.
There is not enough footage or knowledge about McNeely’s game to make that comparison directly, but how could any high school recruit be watching the NBA bubble and not see Kentucky as a top destination?
We are just a few weeks away from former members of the Kentucky Wildcats hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy after the NBA Finals. If that is not the ultimate recruiting pitch to players at any position, I do not know what is. Maybe we will get a Chris Mack video afterwards explaining that “never mind the fact” that Montrezl Harrell was on the NBA title favorite Los Angeles Clippers.
