The Lexington Herald-Leader released their 28th Class of the Commonwealth, which is their selection of the season’s best high school seniors. Of the group that made the cut, multiple players are Kentucky commits for next season as well as few that may very well be once they make their decisions.

QB Beau Allen, WR Izayah Cummings , DL Octavius Oxendine, and OL John Young are the four UK commits who made the list.

Allen threw for 3,456 yards and 37 touchdowns during his senior season. Those numbers put his final totals at 11,213 yards and 126 touchdowns after four seasons at quarterback for Lexington Catholic.

Cummings tallied 1,100 yards for 12 touchdowns as he led his team to two straight championship game appearances.

Oxendine totaled 14.5 sacks, 62 tackles, including 17 for loss, and forced two fumbles for North Hardin.

Young held down the line for a Christian Academy team that won the 2018 3A state title game and appeared in the 2019 4A Semi-Finals. He made the list as an honorable mention.

RB and LB Jase Brunner, a preferred walk-on, came up with 116 tackles on defense and joined the backfield after their starter was injured.

Other Wildcat prospects, including Vito Tisdale, made the list as well. Tisdale will announce his college decision today with Kentucky favored to land his pledge.
