Now, three more former Cats will be involved in the 2020 events.
All three guys have been having excellent seasons in the league.
Gilgeous-Alexander has been putting up big numbers for the Thunder as he is averaging 19.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 steals a game while shooting 46% from the field.
He has been a major contributor for Oklahoma City and has helped lead them to a 29-20 record which is good enough to be the seven seed in the Western Conference.
Herro has been a great addition for the Heat as he is averaging 13.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2 assists while shooting 41% from the field but 38.8% from three.
The sharpshooter recently set a Heat rookie record for threes in a game when he knocked down 7 from deep against the Washington Wizards on his way to a 25-point performance. He has helped the Heat secure a 32-15 record which puts them as the four seed in the Eastern Conference.
Washington has been one of the best rookies this season, as he is averaging 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2 assists a game while shooting 47.7% from the field and an astounding 40.1% from three.
We saw Washington improve his three-point shooting tremendously while at Kentucky, but he has taken it to a completely different level in the NBA. Unfortunately, the Hornets aren’t having a great season as they are currently 16-32 on the year and not in the top 8 in the East.
That is now 5 former Cats that will be participating in various All-Star weekend events and the Rising Stars game will feature three former Cats.
That game will be Friday, February 14th at 9 PM and will be shown on TNT.
