Kentucky was a second-half team on Wednesday, as the Wildcats overcame a first-half deficit to beat the Vanderbilt Commodores 71-62 despite trailing by as many as 10.

The win came thanks to Nick Richards once again, as the junior big man recorded another double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

UK’s three starting guards also reached double figures, as Tyrese Maxey had 17 points, Ashton Hagans had 12 points (as well as six assists) and Immanuel Quickley had 11 points.

Vanderbilt was looking for its first SEC win, and the Commodores started hot, shooting 52% in the first half. But they were held to just 28 points in the second half. They’re now 0-7 in SEC play this year.

The Wildcats have now won four straight games. Next on the schedule is the Auburn Tigers. UK will hit the road to play the Tigers Saturday at 6 p.m.
