It’s never too early when it comes to college basketball recruiting. According to a report from Rivals, Kentucky is keeping a “close eye” on 2022 point guard Dug McDaniel.

McDaniel is a 5-10 guard from Fairfax, Virginia. He is rated as the 24th best player in the 2022 class by Rivals and already has offers from Florida, George Mason, George Washington, and Wake Forest.

While John Calipari and the Wildcats have yet to offer, McDaniel told Rivals Kentucky, Georgetown, and Michigan have kept a “close eye” on him.

When talking more in-depth about Kentucky McDaniel told Rivals this:

“I have been talking to them on a weekly basis. They have just been telling me what to do and what they like in a point guard. I really like them. They are going to be in my top ten or my top list of schools. They just want for me to be a scrappy defender and not make it easy for my opponent and make my presence felt on the floor and being an all-around good person.”

Rivals also reports he has yet to take any visits but wants to take a trip to Michigan to visit Juwan Howard and the Wolverines next summer.
