The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off a massive win at Texas Tech, and they’re hoping it helps lead to more positive momentum on the recruiting trail.
Just one day after the Wildcats beat the Red Raiders 76-74 in overtime, John Calipari and his staff are making their way out to Nevada to watch five-star recruit Jaden Hardy, according to Chris Fisher of Cats Pause and Kyle Tucker of The Athletic.
One of the top scorers in all of high school hoops, Hardy is ranked seventh overall and first among combo guards in the 2021 class, according to 247 Sports composite. The 6-4, 190-pound Hardy is having an outstanding junior season that has some calling him the best scorer in 2021.
Turns out, the Coronado High School (NV) product models his game after two of the best scorers in all of basketball: Former Wildcats star Devin Booker and NBA MVP James Harden:

Calipari has already offered a scholarship to Hardy, who has said UK is one school he’s certain to take an official visit to. Ever since Hardy received that offer, UK has picked up several predictions in the 247 Sports Crystal Ball and Rivals FutureCast.
When UK visited Las Vegas to take on Utah and Ohio State in December, they went to Hardy’s school for a practice session. Hardy and his father watched the Wildcats practice that day, and the buzz for UK getting the top-10 recruit has only grown since then.
