The Kentucky Wildcats got a massive win in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 76-74.
It was a very gritty win for the Wildcats in a tournament-style game that should certainly help their seeding come March.
Nick Richards played arguable his best game of the season with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks. Folks, Nick Richards has elevated himself to SEC Player of the Year contention. He has been consistently dominating teams this season and has not had a bad game since the Las Vegas trip.
This win also came off a game in which Tyrese Maxey did not play well, and did not hit any big shots. Ashton Hagans struggled defensively as well, but came up with a big deflection that went off Texas Tech with .04 seconds remaining.
Big win, Cats.

Free beer? Camping out for 51 hours? Don't give a shit. Kentucky turned the corner. Hagans/Maxey played awful and won in Texas Tech's Super Bowl.

I just saw the stunned scorekeeper screaming back at Robic, but a Texas Tech staffer in between us said it was, "You cheating MFer!" Robes from the top rope. https://t.co/9VXylzATzl

I don't care if you're for Kentucky or Texas Tech or neither, but you can't feel good about what's ahead in March after watching the officiating blunders in this game. So many new and tweaked rules. Who cares. Just make the right calls, especially in crucial moments.

Nick Richards has made himself an absurd amount of money this season. Gonna be a special moment seeing him walk across that stage this summer.

That was one hell of a game.
Kentucky's alignment of Hagans/Maxey/Quickley/Sestina/Richards is good enough to win the whole damn thing.

Great spacing. Great flow.
Wildcats win by split decision in Lubbock.#BBN
I did not enjoy the officiating in OT of Tech/UK. Even though UK won on the last FTs they had three awful calls against them in OT.

I assume NFL fans that complain all day on Sunday don’t watch CBB.

How about this for a stat: In the John Calipari era, Kentucky is a perfect 10-0 in games in which they commit at least 20 turnovers! unbelievable
