After backing up a 10-win season with an 8-win season in a year full of injuries, the University of Kentucky Football program is making sure that Mark Stoops’ staff stays around.

Offensive coordinator Eddie Gran, defensive coordinator Brad White, linebackers coach Jon Sumrall, and defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale all received contract extensions and we now have the details on those deals.

Gran signed his new deal on December 16th which locked him up until June of 2023. His new deal will pay him $950,000 a year which is up from his previous $875,000 deal.

New defensive coordinator Brad White signed his new deal on January 10th. Like Gran’s deal, White’s contract will last through the 2022 season. He is slated for a salary increase each year. $875,000 in 2020, $900,000 in 2021 and $925,000 in 2022.

Clinkscale also signed an extension on January 10th that goes through the 2021 season and his salary will rise from $400,000 to $500,000 per year.

Sumrall signed his extension on January 5th, and it is also through the 2021 season. His salary will rise from $525,000 to $650,000 in 2020 and then jump to $675,000 in 2021.

New defensive line coach Anwar Stewart’s deal details were also released. He will make $300,000 in both the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

If Gran, White, Clinkscale or Sumrall decide to leave Kentucky before the end of their contracts, they will owe the University $150,000 for each remaining year of their deal. Stewart would owe $100,000 per year remaining.
