Former Kentucky Wildcats star and current Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Za’Darius Smith has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster by the NFL. Smith is taking the place of Bears linebacker Khalil Mack, who pulled out of the game due to injury.

Smith had a career year in Green Bay, racking up 13.5 sacks alongside Preston Smith as part of the “Smith Bros.” He also led the league in pressures and QB hits with 93 pressures and 37 hits.

Big Z played a key part in establishing a bright renaissance for Packers’ organization, as he is still relatively young and can be an anchor in the line for them for years to come.

Smith will join fellow Wildcats Josh Allen (Jaguars, AFC) and Larry Warford (Saints, NFC) in the Pro Bowl. It is the most Pro Bowl attendees that Kentucky has had since 1981.

Big Z is snubbed no longer.
