A massive upset.

This season can’t stop giving us amazing upsets. The latest happened to what some believed was the best team in all of college basketball.

The 15-1 Duke Blue Devils entered Tuesday as the No. 1 KenPom team and ranked third overall in the latest AP Poll.

The Clemson Tigers entered the game at 8-7, 1-3 in ACC play and sporting losses to South Carolina, Yale and Miami.

But on this night, it was the Tigers who came away with a 79-72 win over the Blue Devils. It came thanks in large part to Aamir Simms, the hero of Saturday’s win at North Carolina, scoring 25 against Duke, who also has a loss to Stephen F. Austin.

Clemson entered the game ranked 86th at KenPom, but it’s been that kind of year in college basketball. It’s been quite some time since there was a college basketball season this wide open.

And speaking of Clemson losing to South Carolina, the Gamecocks are who Kentucky will face on the road Wednesday. This should be another wake-up call for them that if they don’t come to play, they’ll lose in Columbia.
