Auburn accidentally leaks schedule, revealing UK game dates

A look at when UK will get its two shots at Auburn.

Auburn v Kentucky

Since last March’s upset loss to Auburn in the NCAA Elite Eight, Kentucky fans have been chomping at the bit to find out when the Cats will get another crack at Bruce Pearl and the Tigers.

Instead of waiting for the official announcement from the Southeastern Conference, our friends at Auburn have spilled the beans early as home and away dates were printed in this year’s Auburn Football Media Guide.

According to the media guide, Kentucky travels to Auburn on Saturday, February 1st with the home game slated for Saturday, February 29th at Rupp Arena.

Last season, UK swept the regular season as the Cats held on for an 82-80 win on the road before manhandled the Tigers with a convincing 80-53 win at home. The Tigers then went on to beat Kentucky 77-71 in overtime to become the cinderella team of the tournament as the Tigers advanced to their first Final Four in school history.

Early predictions find Auburn projected to finish in the middle of the pack this season in the SEC after losing Jared Harper and Chuma Okeke to the NBA Draft. Kentucky is once again expected to be a national title contender with four key players returning in Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley, EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards to go with the nation’s No. 2-ranked recruiting class.

It’s never too early to go on Bruce Pearl watch.
