The 2019-20 Kentucky women’s basketball schedule has been finalized.

UK, which finished 25-8 overall and fourth in the SEC last season with a 11-5 league record, will make its debut on Oct. 30 vs. Southern Indiana for its lone exhibition game of the season.

The following week, UK officially tips off their 2019-20 season started with its season opener vs. Mount St. Mary’s on Nov. 5 inside Memorial Coliseum. Among the other non-conference matchups includes games at Middle Tennessee and home vs Virginia.

UK will conclude its non-conference schedule with back-to-back games against teams that made the 2019 NCAA Tournament, hosting Louisville at Rupp Arena on Dec. 15 before traveling to Cal on Dec. 21.

For the SEC slate, UK will play host to Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M. The Cats will travel to Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

This is shaping up to be a promising season for UK and head coach Matthew Mitchell, who was named the Co-SEC Coach of the Year last season. The Wildcats return 63% of its scoring, 62% of its made 3-point field goals, 87% of its offensive rebounding, 81% of its total rebounding, 60% of its assists, 77% of its blocks and 58% of its steals.

A big part of that is the return of reigning unanimous national freshman of the year Rhyne Howard. The 6-2 Howard had an exceptional first season while averaging a team-leading 16.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. She also won a gold medal with Team USA in the FIBA U19 World Cup in Thailand.
