Greg Brown sets visit to Kentucky

The top-10 recruit continues to map out his visits as he looks to make a decision in the spring.

Kentucky has secured an official visit with Greg Brown.

According to Evan Daniels, Brown will visit Lexington on the weekend of January 10th.

Recently, Brown announced his final five, which included the Wildcats, Texas Longhorns, Memphis Tigers, Auburn Tigers and North Carolina Tar Heels. While most of the buzz in this recruitment has been for Texas, Daniels recently said not to count out the Wildcats for the five-star forward.

A 6-9, 195-pound forward out of Texas, Brown is ranked No. 7 overall in 2020 by 247 Sports composite. He’s ranked as high as 5th overall by ESPN.

Kentucky offered Brown in late July, but it wasn’t revealed until recently when Brown included the Cats in his top five.

It’s going to be interesting to watch how John Calipari handles the recruitments of all the bigs he’s offered in 2020. As of now, it’s Brown, Isaiah Todd, Cliff Omoruyi, Lance Ware and potentially Isaiah Jackson (just visited this past weekend) who hold offers.

Of the group, Jackson and Ware are expected to commit this fall, while Todd, Omoruyi and Brown are planning to make commitments in the spring. But regardless of who Kentucky gets, Brown is the kind of guy you keep recruiting no matter what. He’s a very special talent who will be a game-changer for whoever lands him.

Here are some recent highlights of Brown in action:
